Hot Dog Cart
Own your own food concessions cart for $4500 from this Burr Ridge seller, who is getting rid of it "only because life happens." Apparently, all you need to start is a battery, propane tank and... oh, yeah, the food! "Be your own boss and set your own hours! Make thousands per week!" Assuming you pick the right street corner... and your food doesn't stink.
Nazi Daggers
Spooky. A Downers Grove seller is offering three Hitler Youth daggers, each for $100. Did you know such a sale, while legal here, would be illegal in many parts of Europe (and is also prohibited on eBay)? Anyway, if you're buying, hopefully it's for historical and not iconographic reasons. To quote the seller: "Have a nice day!" ... Okay!
Backyard Pool (You Move It)
This decidedly homemade-looking Lemont pool is up for $1500. Not a bad price for a pool... but, of course, getting it out of a Lemont backyard and to your place is up to you. Sounds like a major project, but you could be done in time for the warm weather!
Chicago Flood Commemorative T-Shirt
Remember the flooding of 1992? I don't; I lived in Boston. But if you want to wear a Sun-Times front page on your chest proudly memorializing it, you can grab this "I Survived the '92 Loop Floor" shirt out of Downers Grove for $30 and "own a piece of official Chicago history!" (Hint: the shirt can't tell if you actually where there or not.)
Train Air Horn
I can't tell whether or not this "Locomotive Air Horn Train Horn Prime 920" out of Downers Grove still works or not, but for $600, it had better. Become the official scourge of your neighborhood every time you blow it! (Don't.)
Kennedy/Johnson 1960
This campaign button, a cool little piece of history, is going for $5 out of Hinsdale. I'm sure there are people out there who collect campaign memorabilia, right? Here's a chance to add to that collection. (Also a useful bit of costuming for time-travelers.)
