This 1940’s go-cart racer was half-restored, but never finished, by a Lemont father and son. It looks boring now, but imagine it with an awesome Speed Racer paint job! Comes with chrome pipes and bumper, stainless-steel moldings and a kick-start engine “that runs good,” all for $500.
Helium Flying Shark
Remote-controlled airplanes are all well and good, but why do they have to look like boring old planes? Why not, say, killer sharks? I can’t tell you why it was never opened, because 40 feet of range sounds like plenty to terrorize your household with this fanged helium fish, and that sounds like fun. Just $25 out of Clarendon Hills. Frickin’ laser beams not attached to the head, sadly.
Own Bead Heaven in Downers
According to this post, Bead Heaven in Downers Grove generates $200,000 in annual revenue and has no debt, $100,000 in inventory and a 2,000+ customer list. So why on earth are they selling? Doesn’t say, but if that sounds like a business you’d like to run, you can get in on it and become a small-business owner for $175,000.
Found Someone’s Parrot
Did anyone in or around Hinsdale lose a parrot? Someone in the Village found one, though just how one finds a parrot I don’t know. “Not donating, not selling, trying to locate the original owner.” Good luck!
Hypnosis for Better Golf?
Obsessive golfers like me will do just about anything to shave off a few strokes, including signing up for a hypnosis study around Clarendon Hills. Plus, it’s free! All you have to do is go to two sessions, play some golf and do a phone interview afterwards. … karma chameleon, you come and go, you come and go. This cute little lizard is going for $130 out of Willowbrook, plus a homemade cage and light. Be careful not to lose her, though… they’d be pretty difficult to find again, I’d imagine!
