Senior quarterback Brian Owens completed 15 of 27 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns as the Red Devils beat Proviso West 34-25 Friday night in Hillside, according to the Sun-Times.
Hinsdale Central advanced to 3-0 and won its West Suburban Silver opener on the road after losing to Proviso West one year earlier in their conference-opening game.
The Sun-Times reported that running back Jack Adams rushed for 84 yards on 24 carries one week after he ran for 188 yards on 25 carries in a 17-3 road win over Leyden.
Next week Hinsdale Central faces off against Glenbard West, who is currently 2-0 and hosts Lyons Township Saturday afternoon according to the Daily Herald.
Last year, the Hilltoppers blew out the Red Devils in Glen Ellyn.
