Downers Grove North football team is ready for Round 2 of the IHSA Class 7A playoffs.
The No. 8 Trojans (6-4) will take on No. 5 Thornton (8-2) at 7 p.m. Friday at Thornton High School, 151st Street and Broadway Avenue in Harvey.

Player to Watch: Senior fullback Brandon Salter, who torched Batavia last week with a career-high 229 yards and a pair of long scores. Salter rumbled 55 yards the first time he touched the ball for his first score, and his 84-yard second-quarter jaunt gave him 146 yards rushing on his first four attempts.
